On Wednesday, June 30th, False Count Radio, in association with Wrestling Soup, proudly presented the Trent Acid Tribute Show. This tribute to a fallen brother was hosted by “The Pacific Coast Player” JT Evans and Anthony Missionary Thomas. Several pre-taped interviews were played and a couple of Trent’s good friends called in live.

Before the interviews began, JT and Missionary gave their thoughts on Trent Acid’s life, as well as discussed the upcoming Acid-Fest.

The first pre-taped interview was with Dave Donovan. Dave talked about the one thing Trent would want his fans to know about him. Dave told a story about Trent he wanted to share with the fans. Dave said what he would name the book about Trent Acid’s life. Dave mentioned what would be the one thing he would tell Trent if he could. He also spoke about what he feels Trent’s crowning achievement was. Dave said what he thought were Trent’s biggest goals were in life and who his inspirations were. Dave closed with a discussion about what would be the one thing he’ll miss the most about Michael Verdi.

The next pre-taped interview was with ECW Original and False Count Radio’s own “The Pitbull” Gary Wolf. Gary talked about the one thing Trent would want his fans to know about him. Gary said what he would name the book about Trent Acid’s life. He discussed what Trent’s crowning achievement was. Gary speculated as to who Trent’s inspirations were. Gary spoke about what he will miss the most about Michael Verdi.

The next pre-taped interview was with Missy Sampson. Missy talked about the one thing Trent would want his fans to know about him. Missy talked about what stuck out most to her about both Trent Acid and Mike Verdi. Missy said what he would name the book about Trent Acid’s life. She discussed what Trent’s crowning achievement was. Missy speculated as to what Trent’s biggest goals in life were. Missy spoke about what she will miss the most about Michael Verdi.

The next pre-taped interview was with Matt Walsh. Matt talked about the one thing Trent would want his fans to know about him. Matt told a story about Trent he wanted to share with the fans. Matt said what he would name the book about Trent Acid’s life. Matt talked about what stuck out most to him about Trent Acid. He discussed what Trent’s crowning achievement was. Matt speculated as to what Trent’s biggest goals in life were. Matt spoke about what he will miss the most about Michael Verdi. Matt discussed what fans can expect out of Acid-Fest.

The next pre-taped interview was with CZW’s owner DJ Hyde. DJ spoke about a fun memory that he has about Trent.DJ spoke about what he thinks Trent would want his fans to remember about him. DJ discussed what made Trent unique.DJ discussed what she would title a book about Trent. DJ talked about who Trent’s heroes were. DJ remembered what Trent’s crowning achievement was. DJ discussed what he will miss about Michael Verdi. DJ spoke about what fans can expect at Acid Fest.

A childhood friend of Trent’s named Frank called in to the show. Frank spoke about growing up with Trent, or Michael as Frank knew him. Frank talked about his and Trent’s love for wrestling as they were growing up. Frank talked about the thrills he got seeing his best friend do the only thing he ever wanted to do, wrestle. Frank talked about how he felt when he heard that Michael passed. Frank talked about how Trent would feel about this show.

Another one of Trent’s good friends, B-Boy called in. B-Boy discussed how Trent would want the fans to remember him. B-Boy spoke about a special memory he had of Trent. B-Boy discussed what he would title a book about Trent. B-Boy discussed his role on the upcoming Acid-Fest. B-Boy discussed what he thinks Trent’s crowning achievement in wrestling would be. B-Boy talked about who Trent’s heroes were. B-Boy discussed what he will miss about Michael Verdi.

A caller named Andrew called in to talk about Trent. He discussed some of Trent’s accomplishments from a fan’s point of view. Andrew talked about when he first became aware of Trent and The Backseat Boyz. Andrew mentioned some of the mainstream names that had the honor of being in the ring with Trent.

The next pre-taped interview was with “The Pretty Hate Machine” Jason Gotti. Jason talked about the one thing Trent would want his fans to know about him. Jason told a story about Trent he wanted to share with the fans. Jason mentioned what stuck out to him most about Trent. Jason said what he would name the book about Trent Acid’s life. Jason mentioned what would be the one thing he would tell Trent if he could. He also spoke about what he feels Trent’s crowning achievement was. Jason said what he thought were Trent’s inspiration. Jason closed with a discussion about what would be the one thing he’ll miss the most about Michael Verdi.

The next interview was with former ECW referee Mike Keener. Mike talked about one thing that stuck out most about Trent Acid. Mike told a story about Trent he wanted to share with the fans. Mike talked about what he would name the book about Trent Acid’s life. He also spoke about what he feels Trent’s crowning achievement was. Mike discussed Trent's biggest goal in life. Mike discussied what would be the one thing he’ll miss the most about Michael Verdi. Mike talked about what would be the biggest reason a fan should come to be part of Acid-Fest. Mikespoke on the one thing he would have liked to tell Trent.


One of Trent’s best friends, Billy Reil called in next. Billy talked about the one thing Trent would want his fans to know about him. Billy talked about Trent’s love of music. Billy discussed his dearest memory of Trent. Jason said what he would name the book about Trent Acid’s life. Billy spoke about the one thing he would tell Trent that he could that he never told him. He also spoke about what he feels Trent’s crowning achievement was. Billy said what he thought were Trent’s inspiration. Billy also discussed about what would be the one thing he’ll miss the most about Michael Verdi.

The final interview of the night was the most emotional. It was with Trent’s Backseat Boyz tag team partner, Johnny Kashmere. Johnny talked about the one thing Trent would want his fans to know about him. Johnny talked about his favorite moments working with Trent. Johnny said what he would name the book about Trent Acid’s life. He also spoke about what he feels Trent’s crowning achievement was. Johnny said what he thought were Trent’s inspiration. Johnny also discussed about what would be the one thing he’ll miss the most about Michael Verdi. Johnny spoke about the upcoming Acid-Fest. Johnny closed by discussing what the most important piece of advice he learned from Michael Verdi was.

The hosts then played a voicemail that Trent Acid left for Billy Reil just days before he passed. This voicemail showed the lighter side of Trent that fans never got the opportunity to see or hear.

The show closed with a ten bell salute to Trent Acid.

Rest In Peace, Michael Verdi. We love and miss you.
